Cooking Method #4 of 5
PAN-SEAR
- Preheat cast-iron pan to medium-high (400 - 425 degrees)
- Dredge meat or fish in Char Crust just before cooking
- Drizzle or spray surface of seasoned protein with canola oil or other oil suitable for high-heat cooking
- Place meat or fish in pan.
- Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook for 2 minutes on the other side
- Flip protein every 2 minutes during cooking to ensure even cooking and no burning
- Continue cooking until desired level of doneness is reached
