Roasted Garlic Peppercorn Prime Rib
Ingredients:
- Prime Rib, 10 lb
- Char Crust® Roasted Garlic Peppercorn
Instructions
- Pat the prime rib dry with paper towels. Coat all sides generously with Char Crust® Roasted Garlic Peppercorn. The seasoning will form our signature crust that seals in the natural juices as it cooks.
- Let the seasoned roast sit out for 30–60 minutes. This helps it cook evenly.
- Preheat your oven to 500°F. Place the roast bone-side down on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast at 500°F for 15 minutes to jump-start the crust.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F and continue roasting for 10 minutes per pound of meat.
- Use a meat thermometer for best results:
120–125°F for rare, 130–135°F for medium-rare, 140–145°F for medium. - Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest 20–30 minutes. This allows the juices to settle and keeps every slice tender and juicy.
- Carve into thick slices and serve with the rich crust and natural juices.
