Amazin' Cajun Butter Steak


  • Char Crust Amazin' Cajun

  • 2 New York Strip steaks or steaks of choice 

  • 3 tablespoons softened butter

  • Parsley or thyme

  • Olive oil 


Remove steak from refrigerator about an hour before cooking. 

Mix 2 tablespoons of the softened butter with 1 tsp of Amazin' Cajun Char Crust (or Char Crust of choice) and 1 tsp of chopped parsley or thyme. Wrap in plastic. Put in refrigerator to harden . 

Coat steak on all sides with Char Crust and drizzle with olive oil. 

Put remaining 1 tablespoon of regular butter in a cast iron pan or grill. 

Cook for 6 to 7 minutes, flipping every 2 minutes until meat thermometer reads 135 degrees for medium rare.

Let sit for 10 minutes and add Cajun butter. Slice and enjoy.
